A Denver area favorite, The City of Cherry Hills Village has some of the most beautiful and expensive real estate in the State of Colorado. With large estates lining the winding streets of these communities, Cherry Hills Farms and Cherry Hills Village is located in Arapahoe County, Colorado. The city population was 5987 at the 2010 United States Census. Cherry Hills Village is a part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is one of the most affluent places in Colorado and the United States.
This area also boasts some fantastic educational rankings, including St. Mary’s Academy, an all-girls’ high school, which counts former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice among its alumni. Kent Denver School, which counts former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright among its alumni. And, Cherry Hills Village Elementary School, One of the many elementary schools that is a part of the Cherry Creek School District.
The city hosted two PGA Championships (1941 and 1985) and the 2005 U.S. Women’s Open at the Cherry Hills Country Club. The community was named for a grove of cherry trees near the original town site. On April 16, 2019, the city council voted to rename the 111-year old Swastika Acres subdivision as “Old Cherry Hills”.
Many famous Denver area figures have lived in Cherry Hills such as John Elway, Mike Shanahan, Joe Sakic, Peyton Manning, David Duvall, and many high ranking corporate executives of Fortune 500 Companies.
